FREE RELEASE TUESDAY: Openlands and Grammy Award winner Will Ackerman present a Benefit Concert September 1

Tune those ears into the sounds of Will Ackerman for Openlands’ launch of Arts Wide Open, an outreach initiative to protect the natural and open spaces of northeastern Illinois and the surrounding region. Join Openlands and Ackerman 7:30 p.m. until 9 p.m. Wednesday, September 1 during the Arts Wide Open Benefit Concert at Spertus Institute’s Feinberg Theatre (610 S. Michigan Ave, Chicago). Tickets are $75 for balcony and main floor, $250 for VIP. Tickets may be purchased at the event.

This is Will Ackerman’s first Chicago appearance in more than 20 years. Ackerman is recognized as a pioneer in the new age music movement. His inspiration comes as much from a lifelong kinship with nature as “a thorough love of the mystery of making music.”

Balcony and main floor tickets include general admission seating and pre-concert a reception featuring complimentary organic cocktails and light appetizers.

VIP tickets include reserved main floor seating, pre-concert complimentary organic cocktails and light appetizers, as well as a post-concert reception with Ackerman in the Spertus Landmark room and open terrace.

Opening reception for balcony, main floor and VIP begins at 6 p.m. followed by the show at 7:30 p.m. The VIP reception with Ackerman begins at 8:30 p.m.
