Fat Rosie’s Taco & Tequila Bar (1890 W. Main St., St. Charles, IL 60174; 630-762-0235) is hosting the El Mayor Tequila dinner 7 p.m. tonight (Wednesday, January 4). This five-course meal features a delicious Pear Margarita with a selection of El Mayor Tequilas. Tickets are $50 per person, excluding tax and gratuity. Reservations are required.
The meal starts with Shredded Venison Tostaditas with a pineapple salsa and habanero chile. This is followed by Ahi Tuna Tartar with roasted yellow peppers, grilled pear and mango and a Jicama salad. The third course features Grilled Jumbo Shrimp in a vanilla sauce with white rice and roasted red peppers and is followed by Grilled Pork Loin in manchamanteles mole with sweet mashed potatoes, grilled pineapple and chorizo. The meal ends with a Chocolate Cajeta Tres Leches Cake with mocha frosting and Cajeta sauce.
