Francesca's Restaurants support Lambs Farm


Did you know you can support your community simply by eating at Francesca’s? When you dine at any Francesca’s restaurant during their Eat and Earn promotion, a portion of your bill is donated to a charitable organization in the community.


This Tuesday, March 20, all Francesca’s locations are participating in an Eat and Earn promotion to benefit Lambs Farm, a non-profit organization that helps people with developmental disabilities lead productive and happy lives. When people dine at Francesca’s and either bring in the Eat and Earn flyer about the event or mention Lambs Farm, 15% of the bill will be donated to the organization. Francesca's Passaggio supports Windy City Warriors


You can support your community simply by eating at Francesca’s. When you dine at any Francesca’s restaurant during their Eat and Earn promotion, a portion of your bill is donated to a charitable organization in the community. 

Wednesday, March 14, Francesca’s Passaggio (3124 South Route 59, Naperville, IL 60564; 630-946-0600) is hosting an Eat and Earn program to benefit Windy City Warriors, the premier adapted sports group in DuPage County. The Warriors wheelchair basketball team and junior wheelchair softball teams are some of the best in the country. When diners mention Windy City Warriors while dining at Francesca’s Passaggio, 20% of their bill will be donated to the organization to offset travel and tournament costs. Free Release Tuesday: Watch the White Sox bat at U.S. Cellular for Big Love, Little Hearts

Cheer for the Chicago White Sox while donating to children in need. At the 7:10 p.m. Wednesday, June 23 White Sox vs. Atlanta Braves game, a portion of the ticket sales support the Big Love, Little Hearts Foundation, which helps children with congenital heart defects in underdeveloped countries.

The group’s discounted ticket price is $25 for sections 156-159. There is an option of purchasing a package that includes a Big Love, Little Hearts t-shirt to wear during the game with the rest of the White Sox fans. Fireworks conclude the ballgame, and the night continues with an after party at Rockit Bar and Grill in River North. Appetizers and $5 Heartinis are available to those who attend.

Don’t forget to visit California Pizza Kitchen to contribute to A Silver Lining Foundation

The time has almost come to support a good cause! During regular business hours on June 21 visit participating California Pizza Kitchens and 20 percent of the check will be donated to A Silver Lining Foundation (ASLF), a non-profit organization which ensures access to cancer resource information, treatment options, and no cost mammograms to underserved people affected by cancer.

The four participating California Pizza Kitchens include:

Westfield Old Orchard (4999 Old Orchard Center, Skokie; 847-673-1144; Hours: 11 a. m. – 10 p.m. Monday through Thursday).

Warrenville (28258 Diehl Rd., Warrenville; 630-393-0852; Hours: 11 a.m. – 10 p.m. Monday through Thursday).

Free Release Tuesday: Help the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society fundraise at Bella Bacinos


Make a difference in someone’s life by supporting the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Tuesday, May 18 at Bella Bacinos (36. S. La Grange Rd., La Grange; 708-352-8882). Throughout the event, Bella Bacinos will give the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society 100 percent of the proceeds made.

The cost is $30 per person and includes beer, wine and food.

'Tis the Season for Giving



Celebrate the holiday season with StreetWise at the second annual holiday fundraiser from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 22, 2009 at Praha Boutique (3849 N. Lincoln Ave., Chicago, Ill., 773-549-1227). The fundraiser includes gourmet passed appetizers, which guests can enjoy while shopping at the European-inspired, affordable boutique. Fifteen percent of all proceeds from the event will be donated to StreetWise.

Praha is full of antiques, gifts, home goods and goodies like fragrant bath products for customers to peruse. With the owners taking regular trips to Europe, scouring the markets of tiny country towns, beautiful one-of-a-kind items can always be found in the store.
