Ste. Michelle Wine Estates Featured at Glen Prairie’s Wine Dinner

Glen Prairie (1250 Roosevelt Rd., Glen Ellyn; 630-613-1250) hosts its first wine dinner of 2010 at 6 p.m. Tuesday, March 23. Enjoy a five course dinner prepared by Chef Daniel Ovanin and learn about the five different wines accompanying the meal from Ste. Michelle Wine Estates.

The evening begins with a reception featuring Eroica Riesling served with Red Curry Striped Bass with bell pepper garnish, green onions and lemongrass. Dinner includes H3 Chardonnary paired with Creamy Celery Root Soup with smoked fennel, apple and smoked paprika; Snoqualmie Syrah along side Wild Mushroom and Poached Quail Egg Benedict with brioche toast, pepato cheese and herbs; Northstar Merlot with Northstar Braised Beef Short Rib, petite mirepoix, potato fondant and natural juice. Dessert features Snoqualmie Riesling paired with Strawberry Shortcake, macerated strawberries, housemade shortcake and fresh cream.
