Free Release Tuesday: The Anti-Cruelty Society presents its 10th annual benefit ‘It’s Raining Cats and Dogs!’ October 1

Join The Anti-Cruelty Society in helping animals avoid mistreatment. From 6:30 p.m. until 10 p.m. The Anti-Cruelty Society hosts its 10th annual ‘Its Raining Cats and Dogs!’ benefit at The Hard Rock Hotel (230 N. Michigan Ave., Chicago; 312- 345-1000). The event is presented by Hill’s Science Diet and Chopper Trading. Tickets are $125-$175 per person and can be purchased here.

Join Master of Ceremonies and NBC5 anchor Andy Avalos while sampling chef tastings from James Gottwald of Rockit Bar & Grill, Jesse DeGuzman of Sunda or Jimmy Bannos of Heaven on Seven. For a full list of participating chefs, press here. Wine, beer and specialty cocktails are served. Rock/blues/indie group, Train Company and jazz group Varioso Duo perform. Check out the live and silent auctions, and enter the raffle for a chance to win $5,000.
