Green City Market Names New Executive Director - Melissa Flynn

Chicago -- Melissa Flynn has been named executive director of Green City Market  one of the nation’s preeminent sustainable farmers markets, located in Chicago. Flynn comes to Green City Market with   extensive leadership experience including eight years as executive director of the Lincoln Square Ravenswood Chamber of Commerce.  “We are thrilled to have Melissa Flynn as our new Executive Director,” said Vi Daley, co-president of the Green City Market board. “Melissa has a very impressive background which will be beneficial to our market,” she said.  Sarah Stegner, co-president of the Green City Market board said: “Melissa’s passion for sustainability is the perfect fit for the market.” “This is a very exciting time to be working in the field of sustainability and urban agriculture and I cannot think of a better place to do so than the Green City Market,” said Melissa Flynn.   Flynn is a skilled and experienced executive with a proven track record for creating a successful business climate balanced by strong values of sustainability and community.   Most recently, Flynn was managing partner of MJF Partners LLC, focusing on helping small businesses and non-profits in strategic planning, internal restructuring and identifying key collaboration and marketing opportunities.
