Fleming’s Prime Steakhouse & Wine Bar will feature five handcrafted Napa Valley wines from Twomey Cellars and Silver Oak Cellars at a special five course wine dinner at 6:30 p.m. on Friday, September 10. The dinner is $125 per person and includes paired wines with five courses (cost excludes tax and gratuity). Fleming’s Prime Steakhouse is located at 25 East Ohio Street in Chicago, Illinois.
Silver Oak Cellars has crafted extraordinary Cabernet Sauvignon for more than 35 years. Founded by Raymond Twomey Duncan and Justin Meyer in 1972, Silver Oak Cabernet Sauvignon consistently represents the very best, attracting a loyal following across the country and around the world. In 1999, Duncan and his four sons founded Twomey Cellars with the same philosophy as Silver Oak. Twomey, however, combines the family’s winemaking experience with a spirit of innovation, working with a number of varietals, including handcrafted Merlot, Pinot Noir and Sauvignon Blanc.
"We are very pleased to be hosting this dinner along with Silver Oak Ambassador, Tom Johnson," says Curtis Nordeen, Fleming's Prime Steakhouse Chicago operating partner. “Silver Oak and Twomey have mastered their winemaking skills and produce varietals that are food-friendly and deliciously drinkable upon release.”
The evening will begin with a reception of Artisanal Cheeses and Breads alongside Harvest Fruits and TWOMEY, Sauvignon Blanc Napa Valley, 2006; as well as Jumbo Shrimp Cocktail with Chipotle Sauce and Vegetable Relish with Twomey, Pinot Noir Santa Barbara County, 2008.
The first course will be a Chopped Salad with Organic Field Greens, Artichoke Hearts, Olives, Tomato, Onion and Lemon Balsamic Vinaigrette paired with Twomey, Merlot Napa Valley, 2005. The salad is followed by Lobster Bisque and a Tempura Lobster Skewer paired with Silver Oak, Cabernet Sauvignon Alexander Valley, 2006. The third course is a Main Filet Mignon with F17 sauce, Fleming’s Signature Potatoes and Porcini Dusted Green Beans paired with Silver Oak, Cabernet Sauvignon Napa Valley, 2006. The dinner concludes with Fall Harvest Cheesecake with Cinnamon Whipped Topping and Graham Cracker Crust served with coffee and tea.

About Silver Oak Cellars
Entrepreneur Raymond Twomey Duncan first visited the Napa Valley in the late 1960s and began purchasing orchards, pastures and vineyards throughout the Napa and Alexander Valleys. In 1972, Duncan approached Justin Meyer, an experienced wine maker to help plant and manage the vineyards. Duncan and Meyer had a bold vision for producing a single wine—Cabernet Sauvignon. Silver Oak’s Alexander Valley vineyards produced the first Cabernet Sauvignon harvest later that year.
Meyer left the Silver Oak brand in 2001, but Duncan and his family continue to lead SilverOak, carrying forward the vision established more than 35 years ago. To learn more, visit http://www.silveroak.com/
About Twomey Cellars

Twomey combines winemaking experience with a spirit of innovation, enabling the brand to work with a number of varietals including handcrafted Merlot, Pinot Noir and Sauvignon Blanc. Twomey was founded with the same philosophy that guided Silver Oak: make food-friendly wines that are deliciously drinkable upon release.
With two wineries, one in Calistoga devoted to Merlot, and one in Russian River designed for Pinot Noir and Sauvignon Blanc, Twomey is able to work small, focus on quality and carry out its mission of making handcrafted wines. To learn more, visit http://www.twomeycellars.com/.
