A Green Grand Opening

The first "green" Crowne Plaza hotel opens its doors today. The grand opening celebration of the Crowne Plaza Glen Ellyn-Lombard (1250 Roosevelt Rd., Glen Ellyn; 630-629-6000) begins today at 4:30 p.m. Guests will celebrate the hotel's commitment to environmental sustainability, including the hotel's recycling program, insulated low-E glass windows, CFL light bulbs, energy-reducing multistage boilers, use of regional vendors, hybrid guest transportation, and much more.

Guests will enjoy chances to win tickets to "Wicked" in Chicago, overnight packages at the Crowne Plaza and complimentary dining at the Crowne Plaza's adjacent restaurant, Glen Prairie. City officials from Lombard and Glen Ellyn will lead the ribbon-cutting ceremony at 5:15 p.m.

This unique, gorgeous hotel is a bright addition to Glen Ellyn and the landscape of the western suburbs. For more information on the Crowne Plaza Glen Ellyn, please visit: http://http//www.ichotelsgroup.com/h/d/cp/1/en/hotel/chige;jsessionid=UX5ZFNMAKWKCCCTGWAJCIIQKM0YBUIY4?_requestid=1366681.
