Don't miss Human Rhythm Project's Three World Premieres This Weekend

On May 29-31, in honor of National Tap Dance Day, Chicago Human Rhythm Project presents an exciting program featuring three world premieres, the superman of tap, Jason Samuels Smith and the Chicago debut of the Brazilian body band … Barbatuques!

Founded by musician Fernando Barba, Barbatuques creates a visual and aural spectacle by combining Afro-Brazilian chants, stomping, shuffling, body drumming, and other vocal and movement techniques.

And if that
isn’t enough, this dynamic group will be joined by Emmy award winner and Broadway star, Jason Samuels Smith, as well as the Chicago Human Rhythm Project's resident tap ensemble BAM! BAM! will premiere pieces choreographed by Ted Levy, sand dancer Guillem Alonso, and Barabatuques' Bruno Buarque.

To see videos of these performers and for more information go to www.chicagotap.org and click on “Windy City Rhythms”. For tickets, go to here or call (312)397-4010
