Birch River Grill's Weekly Prix Fixe Menu





Where can you get a three-course prix fixe meal for less than $25? Birch River Grill in Arlington Heights (75 W. Algonquin Rd.; 847-427-4242), that's where. Offered after 5 p.m. now through Wednesday, Dec. 23, treat yourself to three courses for just $22, crafted by executive chef John Ayaleanos.

The meal kicks off with a choice of appetizers: Red Grape and Pecan Salad, mixed greens, apple cider vinaigrette, toasted pecans, red grapes and crumbled bleu cheese, or Granny Apple & Onion Soup, melted Wisconsin provolone and Swiss cheese crust, with baked apple crisps. Then, indulge in Rushing Waters Rainbow River Trout, with wild mushroom ragout, roasted Yukon Gold potatoes and lemon caper jus. Berry Sorbet is served with fresh berries for dessert.
