Gene Ammons brings a fat, warm tone and relaxed swinging style to the stage as a hero and stylistic role model to many. The concert features an evening of classical Chicago Jazz "Jug" (Gene Ammons' nickname) Style as well as some of Ammons' best work from the early 60's. Hard swinging and melodic, Ammons continues to be a jazz legend according to jazz DJ, Daddio Daley, who also claims that Gene Ammons "set the tone for the Chicago Tenor Saxophone".

Rough CutRough Cut, November 4Enjoy a night of music with pop, rock and blues group Rough Cut Thursday, November 4 at 8:30 p.m. at Mayne Stage.

Rough Cut started as an unproven local band at the bottom of the Chicago music scene and has evolved into a headlining, weekend act at just about every major venue in their home city as well as a consistent success for talent buyers in unproven cities.
