We're a huge fan of Pierogi and it's wonderful to know that Delightful Pastries offers a variety of homemade ones, making it easy to enjoy them at any time of year. October 8, however, is set aside to honor this delicious stuffed dumpling, common in most Central and Eastern European diets. You don't have to be Polish to enjoy. Variations of the theme pop up in many cultures with varied spellings...usually stuffed with potato filling, sauerkraut, ground meat, or cheese.
Bet you can't eat one. Yes. They are hard to resist. Fresh off the griddle, enjoy Delightful Pastries' three flavors: Cheese and Potato, Mushroom and Sauerkraut, or Meat, available in two styles: Chicago Style, with caramelized onions, cheddar cheese and Tzatzki sauce, or Grandma Style with Caramelized onions and sour cream. They are sold for 4 pieces for $6 or 6 pieces for $8.
