Naperville Francesca's restaurants announce new specials


Two Naperville Francesca's restaurants, La Sorella diFrancesca (18 W. Jefferson Ave., Naperville, IL 60540; 630-961-2706) and Francesca’s Passaggio (3124 South Route 59, Naperville, IL 60564; 630-946-0600) are introducing new daily specials for March. 


At La Sorella di Francesca, every Monday is time for the Monday Night Supper Club, which offers a three-course prix fixe menu for $23.99 per person. Tuesdays, diners will receive 25% off any bottle of wine that is not featured by the glass, and Wednesdays, select beers are $4. House martinis are $5 on Thursdays, and on Fridays, appetizers are half price at the bar from 4 to 6 p.m.



At Francesca’s Passaggio, Monday meals are 25% off for diners in the restaurant industry. Every Tuesday features a $24.99 prix fixe dinner and $10 off bottles of wine. All bottles of wine are half off on Wednesday, and martinis are $5 on Thursdays.  The restaurant also offers half-off appetizers every Friday from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. and on Sundays from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. in the bar area only.  Their popular Kids Eat Free program runs every Sunday.

Welcome summer specials this June at Glen Prairie

Save money on a three-course meal throughout the month of June. Check out the June Prix Fixe menu offered after 5 p.m. daily at Glen Prairie (1250 Roosevelt Rd., Glen Ellyn; 630-613-1250).

For starters, enjoy a Farmers Salad with baby greens, green onions, fresh tomatoes, cucumbers, radish and champagne-cider vinaigrette. For an entrée, dig into Miller Farms BBQ Grilled Chicken with house made BBQ sauce, mac “n” locally-farmed cheese and cassoulet of summer beans. For dessert, try the Choice of Daily Sorbet. The price of the Prix Fixe meal is $20 per person. The Prix Fixe menu is offered in addition to the regular menu and will not be offered on Sunday, June 20.

Glen Prairie serves contemporary American cuisine, with a strong emphasis on local Midwest flavors and products. Breakfast is served 6 a.m. – 11 a.m. Monday through Friday and 7 a.m. - 11 a.m. Saturday and Sunday. Lunch is offered 11 a.m. - 5 p.m. daily. Dinner is served 5 p.m. - 10 p.m. Sunday through Thursday, and 5 p.m. – 11 p.m. Friday through Saturday. The lounge stays open one hour later than the restaurant daily.

Indulge in the May Prix Fixe Menu Monday through Friday after 5 p.m. from now until May 31 at Glen Prairie (1250 Roosevelt Rd. Glen Ellyn; 630-613-1250). The Prix Fixe menu is offered in addition to the regular menu and will not be available on May 9. The Prix Fixe menu is $20 per person and includes the Soup of the Day for starters, followed by Spinach and Wild Mushroom Ravioli with roasted organic baby eggplant and tomato sauce and Pepato cheese. For dessert, enjoy a choice of the Daily Sorbet.

Indulge at Karma this May for a Three-Course Prix Fixe Menu


Enjoy the May Prix Fixe menu Monday through Friday now until May 31 at Karma (510 E. Route 83, Mundelein; 847-970-6900). The cost is $20 per person and the menu is offered in addition to the regular menu.

The Menu features Miso Soup, tofu and roasted nori, or Karma House Salad with crisp lettuce, napa cabbage, cucumber, daikon and carrot ginger dressing. Entrée includes either Jumbo Thai Vegetarian Spring Roll with carrots, napa cabbage, marinated tofu and sweet chili sauce; Honey Tamari Chicken with sautéed spinach and wok-tossed julienne vegetables on a glass noodle nest; or Thai Chili Beef with stir fried spiced beef tenderloin with Chinese noodles and baby bok choy, in mirin-miso beef broth (may be substituted for shrimp or chicken). For dessert enjoy a Trio Of Sorbet or Ice Cream with fresh berries.

Glen Prairie's Farm-Fresh Weekend Deals

Stop by Glen Prairie (1250 Roosevelt Rd., Glen Ellyn, Ill.) for farm-fresh weekend specials, crafted by Executive Chef Daniel Ovanin, Featuring fresh produce from Graue Mill in Oak Brook, Ill. and Wolf Farms in Eau Claire, Mich.

Begin with the Glen Prairie Panzanella Salad with bacon fried sourdough, heirloom tomatoes, fresh mozzarella, crispy prociutto, baby greens and a balsamic glaze ($8). For an entree try the Pan Seared Sea Scallops, Graue Mill Polenta Cake, melted leeks, sauteed green beans and roasted red pepper coulis ($24); or try the Grilled Center Cut Pork Chop with roasted beet risotto, baby carrots and natural jus ($20).
