Karma Asian Food and Fine Wine and Karma Pub Serving Crème Fraiche Flatbread and Karma Sausage and Clams Now Through October 30

This week, Karma and Karma Pub brings the ultimate Western favorite to its menu-pizza! However, it's not your ordinary pizza. The specialty Crème Fraiche flatbread is  topped with a symphony of bacon, caramelized onions, peas, tomatoes, arugula, parmesan, and mozzarella. At $10, this flatbread is sophisticated and perfect as an individual entrée or to share as an appetizer. You'll need to stop by soon as it's only available until next Thursday, October 30.


Karma also is featuring its Karma Sausage and Clams ($22) this week. A dish that is the ideal medley of Asian and American cuisine, Karma Sausage and Clams features pan roasted Salmon, tomato relish, and baby bok choy with a thick slice of grilled ciabatta bread.

The end of October also means it is the last chance to order Steven's Point Whole Hog Pumpkin Ale, brewed three and a half hours north of Mundelein, IL. This limited Pumpkin Ale was a gold medal winner at the Great American Beer Festival in the Pumpkin Beer category and also won a gold medal at the World Beer Championships. Made with Perle hops, this ale is handcrafted using real pumpkin and savory pumpkin pie spices with hints of all natural cinnamon and nutmeg. Svedka Vodka cocktails are also on special for $5.
 
New Dessert Added to Menu
Karma is adding a new yummy dessert to its menu. Save room for its Yin Yang" Cheesecake featuring coconut cream, sweet mango puree, toasted coconut, Mandarin orange, and Tahitian vanilla whipped cream. It's worth the calories!
 
Karma and Karma Pub allow guests to order from each other's menu. The result is that guests can have the best of two worlds-a choice of food and a choice of atmosphere. Both restaurants focus on fresh, seasonal ingredients and purchase from local sources as much as possible. 
 
Shuttle Available from Metra Stations
Guests wishing to travel to Karma by Metra may do so with ease. Confirm arrival time before departure with the restaurant and notify them of the station, Mundelein or Vernon Hills, and Karma will provide a complimentary shuttle pickup. The shuttle runs until 9 p.m.

Guests who order two entrées can purchase a bottle of either house red or white wine for an extra cent (there is a limit of one bottle for every two persons). This may be the most enticing wine offer to come along in a long time.

“We’re so excited about our new Executive Chef, Paul Choi, and our new menu, that we’re giving our friends, and hopefully many new friends, the most wonderful reason to visit Karma Asian Food and Wine,” said Todd Gunderson, Regional Restaurant Manager. “Our one-penny bottles of wine are actually excellent selections that everyone will enjoy to accompany our amazing cuisine.”

Among Chef Choi’s new entrée specialties are the signature Korean BBQ Glazed Rib Eye ($26), served with sticky steamed rice and wilted ginger spinach that goes beautifully with a red wine, and the Crispy Tuna ($26), served with seasonal greens, wasabi vinaigrette and sesame-soy, well paired with a refreshing white wine.

Karma's Cocktails for Groundhog Day: Will it be Spring or Winter?
