Chicago Lasik Surgeon giving $2,000 discounts on bilateral Lasik Procedures to “Our American Heroes”

Doctors for Visual Freedom Laser Center is offering a discount ofamerican flag $1,000 per eye off their best Lasik procedure to the “American Heroes” who make our lives better and safer. This includes policemen, firefighters, paramedics, military personnel and teachers.

As an early pioneer in the field of Lasik Laser Vision Correction and a history of more than 22,000 procedures, Dr. Mark Golden and his staff are fully aware of “on-the-job” vision problems faced daily by soldiers and first responders. “Many members of the police and fire departments have told us of the tremendous benefits that Lasik has brought to their lives. We know that extreme physical activity, dust, smoke and sweat can make it difficult for eyeglass and contact lens wearers to function maximally in their jobs,” said Dr. Mark Golden, “We owe a great debt to those that risk their lives to make our lives better and safer.”

“As the father of an 11-year-old finishing the fifth grade, I know how desperately important teachers are to our future,” said Dr. Golden of Doctors for Visual Freedom Laser Center. “There is nothing more important than the education of our youth. Teachers are underpaid with recent budget cuts due to the struggling economy. As part of those that care for us and our youth, Doctors For Visual Freedom Laser Center also wants to honor those that teach the next generation.

Doctors for Visual Freedom Laser Center is prepared to do everything they can to free patients from glasses and contacts, working hard to meet their schedules with appointments available during the weekdays as well as Monday and Tuesday evenings and Saturdays.

Lasik services include the latest, state-of-the-art equipment. Quality Lasik surgeons generally charge $2200 to $3500 per eye for Lasik. Lasik can be found advertised for as low as $299, but buyer beware. It is not possible to offer state-of-the-art Laser Vision Correction at a bargain price. Golden, having practiced refractive surgery for over twenty years, knows the importance of the latest technology and attention to detail. Pre- and post-care is inclusive, and Dr. Golden is involved from beginning to end. Some laser centers try to treat every patient like every other. Dr. Golden strongly believes that not everyone is a perfect Lasik candidate and treats every patient as if they were a member of his own family. The advanced technology used preoperatively helps Dr. Golden determine who should do well and those at risk for problems with surgery. He frequently tells his staff, “Always do the right thing and no one has Lasik unless they are a perfect candidate.”

“This is an opportunity for us to thank the true heroes in our community,” continued Dr. Golden, “Their commitment and sacrifice is a debt we can never repay.”

Candidates interested in taking advantage of this tremendous opportunity can contact the practice to schedule an eye exam at 1-877-855-5961 or find more information at www.doctorsforvisualfreedom.com. Although Doctors For Visual Freedom Laser Center always tries to accommodate our American Heroes, this special will be over at the end of September.

About Lasik Laser Vision Correction

Lasik is an outpatient surgical procedure that reduces or eliminates a person’s need for glasses or contact lenses. LASIK is an acronym for Laser-Assisted In Situ Keratomileusis, works by changing the shape of the cornea. An instrument is used to make a flap or opening in the cornea and then the Excimer laser precisely reshapes the cornea so that light is then focused properly in the eye. The corneal flap is then replaced and in most cases, patients have excellent vision the next day. This life-changing procedure was developed as a combination of an older procedure called Automated Lamellar Keratoplasty (ALK) which made flap corneal flaps. When the extraordinary precision of the Excimer laser was added to a cornea that had had a flap, Lasik was invented. This was first accomplished in 1993 by a Greek ophthalmologist by the name of Ioannis Pallikaris. This allowed the longer healing of the Excimer laser procedure, Photorefractive Keratectomy (PRK), to use the precision of the laser but to eliminate most of the discomfort and the extended healing. Modern Laser Vision Correction uses advanced measuring systems called WaveFront analysis to measure and then treat each patient’s visual system using technology that was developed to focus the Hubble telescope that allows significantly better results that with earlier technology.
