Enjoy weekend specials created by Chef Daniel Ovanin at Glen Prairie in Glen Ellyn

Savor the taste of farm fresh weekend specials that use locally-sourced ingredients. Try what Glen Prairie (1250 Roosevelt Rd. Glen Ellyn; 630-613-1250) has to offer after 5 p.m., Friday, July 16 and Saturday, July 17.

Begin with a House-Made White Flatbread with fresh mozzarella, olive oil, garlic and fresh basil ($7). For the main course, try Becker Lane Pork Chop with smashed red potatoes and fresh green tomatoes ($17).

This week’s produce, green tomatoes and baby red potatoes, are from Timis Farm Stand in Lynwood, Illinois. The weekend specials are offered in addition to the regular menu.
